What is AdSense all about and how can you really make it work for you? AdSense is an advertising program that has been developed by the people at Google. When you have AdSense running on your website or blog, Google places a number of text ads on your page. These are related to the content on your page. For example, if your website page is about car repairs, then AdSense runs ads about cars or auto mechanics- these usually appear along the side or at the top of the website. Every time someone clicks on an ad, you make money. This is fundamentally how AdSense works.

AdSense is very tempting and looks easy to do. It means that your website starts generating money on it’s own. You just let the ads be and cash will be piling up for you. However, don’t get excited yet. More and more people are saying that they hardly get anything at all while there are lucky ones who generate an income of thousands of dollars a month from AdSense. So what’s the big secret? How did they do it?

What’s the Big Secret? Nothing! There’s no secret at all! These gurus have just a keener understanding of how AdSense functions. And now I’m here to share it with you. If there is a secret to understanding AdSense, it’s in the keywords. Yes, keywords. You see, there are keywords that are worth only a few cents when clicked, then there are keywords worth as much as twenty to even thirty dollars. These are considered high-paying keywords and ads containing these keywords are the ones you should get running on your site.

However, and this is a point you should consider. Let’s say you have all those high-paying keywords on your website. But you wouldn’t be able to make money unless someone clicks those ads. What you have to do here is to entice your viewers enough to get them to click those ads. You can do this by making sure that your site is filled with quality content, interesting, original and well written. Make sure your content is related to those high-paying keywords. For example. “Credit” is a high-paying AdSense keyword that can generate a lot of money. To get AdSense to work for you, you will need to post relevant content like credit card information that will generate enough interest in your readers to get them to click on those ads.

But remember, getting the content to your website is a very slow process. Options are you could write them yourself, pay for someone to write them, or buy ready-made content and acknowledge the author for his words.
